Union Pacific's Train Horn Blasts Through Sacramento Overnight, Sparking Apology
Did you hear the incessant horn? No, you weren't dreaming. There was the sound of a train's horn that seemed to go on way too long in the wee hours. Union Pacific has confirmed that the horn on one of its trains was stuck overnight as it passed through the Sacramento area early Sunday. Residents in East Sacramento, Foothill Farms, Citrus Heights, and even Roseville reported hearing the sound of an unceasing train horn from around 2 to 3 a.m.
"The issue has since been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience," a Union Pacific spokesperson said. But here's where it gets controversial... Some residents are questioning whether the horn was stuck or if it was intentionally used to disrupt the peace. And this is the part most people miss... Union Pacific's response doesn't address the potential intentional use of the horn.
